GeoSIG Interconnection
When interconnection is involved, more options are available in terms of connections, data flow, accessibility, and cost.
This is now a legacy product. Several recorders with internal or external sensors were placed on site and were interconnected with one cable while galvanically isolated from each other. For convenient cabling external junction boxes were used. The interconnection between the stations could be carried out in ring, star, or net topology. Distances between the stations could be as much as 1 km. This was a favourable and cost effective solution for many applications.
