Find out how to enter the GeoSIG: Measuring Excellence contest

GeoSIG is pleased to announce a competition that's open to scientists who have a research idea involving a seismometer and a data logger. The winner
of this competition will be awarded a brand new arolla weak-motion, broadband seismometer and a nair recorder / digitiser to help them complete their
research.

"We are thrilled to provide valuable support to the academic and research community by offering an exceptional opportunity for researchers. We are
delighted to offer a free, no-strings-attached seismometer and recorder, enabling researchers to pursue their objectives without the burden of financial
concerns,” said Johannes Grob, GeoSIG chairman. “Over time, we have received requests from various institutions seeking special discounts or loan units
encompassing a seismometer and digitiser/recorder.”

“Our aim is to alleviate one of the major challenges researchers face – securing funding for their work. By extending this small gesture, we hope to empower
our community in advancing their research objectives with fewer financial obstacles,” Grob said. “We sincerely wish you success and eagerly anticipate
receiving your application. Best of luck, and may your endeavours be met with happiness and fulfilment.”
