GeoSIG offers a wide range of sensors for various purposes. Depending on the application the most suitable sensor can be identified.

  • Force balanced accelerometers are available in standard or below the USGS high noise model which is a graphical and numerical representation of the vertical seismic noice levels observed worlwide.
  • For structural monitoring and strong motion measurements we recommend AC-63 because of the attractive price we can offer, the ease of installation, and flexibility of this accelerometer.
  • Features such as borehole versions, waterproof housing, sealed cable inlet, over voltage protection, current loop (0-20mA) and other solutions for reliable signal transmission over long cables are offered.

GeoSIG AC-63 Triaxial Force Balanced Accelerometer
Our new state-of-the-art sensor is based on a force balanced servo accelerometer concept introducing an innovative and rugged mass suspension system which yields a superior signal-to-noise ratio and temperature and drift compensation. Incorporated Digital Sensor Control provides excellent offset stability. Recommended for strong motion earthquake survey & industrial applications requiring rugged sensors, the AC-63 comes as a triaxial orthogonal package. The standard scale is ± 2 g, optionally adjustable to ± 1g or ± 0.5g. The frequency response ranges from From DC to 100 Hz to 200 Hz (Optional).

VE-53 Triaxial Velocity Sensor
The VE-53 sensor is based on a standard exploration geophone mass-spring system with electronic correction. This type of sensor give very good stability verses temperature or aging because of the very simple principle.The VE-53 sensor package is a triaxial velocity sensor designed for field or industrial survey and monitoring applications regarding vibration and explosion for civil engineering.
A downhole version, VE-53DH is also available

GeoSIG AC-2x Series Accelerometers
The AC-2x Series are based on a standard exploration geophone mass-spring system with electronic correction, which yields a simple thus reliable accelerometer series. The temperature stability and light weight (2.5 kg) of AC-2x is outstanding. Recommended for strong motion earthquake survey & industrial applications requiring high sensitivity, 2x series come with two different uniaxial (AC-21H & 21V), as well as biaxial (AC-22) and triaxial (AC-23) configurations. The sensor full scale is 1g adjustable at ±0.1 g, ±0.2 g, ±0.5 g and ±1 g along with a frequency response of 0.2 Hz to 50 Hz.

Guralp CMG-5T Accelerometers
The CMG-5T accelerometer is a three axis strong motion force feedback accelerometer in a sealed case. The sensor system is self-contained except for the power source. An internal dc-dc converter ensures a completely isolated sensor system and allows the system to operate from 10 to 36 Volts. The CMG-5T sensor system has an extremely large dynamic range. Full-scale low-gain sensitivity is user-adjustable from 2.0 g down to 0.1 g with an external resistor on each axis. The standard frequency pass band is flat to acceleration from dc to 100 Hz. Other low pass corners from 50 Hz to 100 Hz can be ordered. A high frequency option provides flat acceleration from dc to 200 Hz. CMG-5TB is the borehole version of this sensor.

GeoSIG VE-1x Series Velocity Sensors
The VE-1x series velocity sensors are based on a symmetrical rotating dual coil construction minimizing the force on the spring arms. The use of precious metals ensure optimum electrical contact and longer operating life. These velocity sensors operate from a wide range of input voltages and can be used for a variety of civil engineering and general vibration measurement applications. The sealed cast aluminum housing contains a MS style connector or a sealed cable inlet. The housing also incorporates a single bolt mount with three leveling screws. The sensors are further equipped with an impulse test circuit. VE-1x series are offered in two different uniaxial (VE-11H & 11V) as well as biaxial (VE-12) and triaxial (VE-13) configurations. With a frequency response of 1 to 315 Hz, the scale ranges from ±1 mm/s, ±10 mm/s and ±100 mm/s. Borehole version of these sensors are also available.

GeoSIG VE-2x Series Velocity Sensors
The VE-2x series velocity sensors are similar toVE-1x series. However, in 2x series the frequency response is between 4.5 to 315 Hz and the scale ranges from ±10 mm/s, ±50 mm/s and ±100 mm/s. These velocity sensors are offered in two different uniaxial (VE-21H & 21V) as well as biaxial (VE-22) and triaxial (VE-23) configurations.

GeoSIG VE-3x Series Velocity Sensors
The VE-3x series cost effective velocity sensor has a frequency response between 4.5 to 315 Hz with a sensitivity of G = 27.3 Vs/m. The VE-31-H is the uniaxial horizontal, the VE-31-V uniaxial vertical, VE-32 biaxial and the VE-33 is the triaxial version.
